Sepultura, Brazilian metal legends, are arriving at Zagreb’s Šalata stadium on Monday, June 8th, as part of their big farewell tour.

After almost four months ahead of the sold-out Tvornica kulture, Sepultura’s concert has been moved to a new location on Šalata. The latest tour brings the band to this part of Europe for the last time, and the farewell series of concerts is taking place on the occasion of the band’s 40th anniversary. Sepultura will say goodbye to their audience at a big concert in Brazil planned for the fall of 2026. In a series of big festivals, the band will play only 10 solo concerts, one of which will be the one in Zagreb. It will be the band’s first performance in Zagreb in 15 years.

Sepultura also announced an EP “The Cloud of Unknowing” for this year, and they have just released the single “Beyond the Dream” from it. After four decades of existence, 14 gold albums, and performances in 80 countries, Sepultura remains one of the most influential metal bands of our time. The Brazilian music ambassadors have released 15 albums, sold over 3 million records in the US alone, and 20 million worldwide, and it is undeniable that the global metal scene would not be the same without Sepultura.

As a band founded by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, despite the changes in the lineup, Sepultura has maintained its intense music that combines social themes and traditional Brazilian elements. Since their now legendary debut “Morbid Visions”, the band has captured the attention of international music critics, and their position in the metal world was cemented by the album “Beneath The Remains”. The epochal “Roots” and the album “Against” marked them as one of the most successful heavy metal bands, while the media praised them for their musical innovations. Sepultura embarked on numerous world tours, and they continued to release now iconic albums like “Nation” or “Kairos”. They bring their unstoppable energy to encounters with numerous cultures, and the release of “Quadra” once again spreads the colors and rhythms of Brazil throughout the world.

Sepultura’s influence in the music world is undeniable, from gathering hordes of global fans to inspiring numerous bands, their music has left an indelible mark on the metal community. The grand farewell tour will pay tribute to Sepultura’s 40-year career, and the Zagreb concert will be another opportunity to hear a band that has left a huge musical legacy, influenced popular culture and the entire metal genre.

They will be joined as the opening act by Belgian extreme heavy metal band Evil Invaders. It will be an opportunity to hear their acclaimed latest album “Shattering Reflection”, which Metal Injection says is the album of the year for those who love classic speed as well as music for mosh pits and screaming.
