Metal titans Mastodon have released a new single, “Your Ghost Again”, and their just-started tour will soon bring them to Zagreb, to the Tvornica kulture on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
The new single, “Your Ghost Again”, is a tribute to the late founder and guitarist Brent Hinds, as well as the late mother of drummer Brann Dailor. The boisterous progressive song is a story about the loss of a loved one you’ve known most of your life, and it also provides a glimpse into new material. The song was first performed in Prague, where the band began a major European tour. Until the beginning of July, Mastodon will perform at major festivals such as Rock im Park, Rock am Ring or Nova Rock, as well as a series of concerts, including the one in Zagreb.
The giants from Atlanta, one of the biggest and most important metal bands of today, are coming to one of their favorite concert destinations. As a favorite band of local hardcore fans, Mastodon has sold out Zagreb concert venues on several occasions. For more than two decades, they have redefined metal music, cemented their position as one of the most sought-after bands, and, hailed as one of the most powerful live performers, continue to push creative boundaries.
They have forged a blend of many metal genres, from progressive and experimental to sludge and stoner, all backed up by powerful live performances. Mastodon is written into music history with the acclaimed albums “Leviathan”, which Rolling Stone included in the 100 best metal albums of all time, “Crack the Skye”, “The Hunter”, “Emperor of Sand” and “Hushed and Grim”, and their releases regularly end up among the best albums on the Billboard charts. Multiple Grammy nominations, they won the award in the category of best metal performance for the song “Sultan’s Curse”.
The band raises the bar in modern metal with each release, and their music can be heard in series such as “The Game of Thrones”, programs on The History Channel, as well as festivals such as Coachella. They are regularly praised by renowned specialist media outlets such as Metal Hammer, Classic Rock or Rock Sound. At the same time, the BBC calls them “the most ambitious, fearless and fun metal band to break into the mainstream”, and Rolling Stone writes that they are “the most important new metal band”.
Zagreb band Stonebride will perform as the opening act, and for more than two decades they have been building a sound at the intersection of heavy rock, doom, psychedelia, progressive and alternative rock.

Tickets are on sale for 39 euros, and are available in the CoreEvent system, as well as at Dirty Old Shop, Rockmark and Dallas Music Shop in Rijeka.
