You don’t define art. You feel it. On LSD. With snakes.
The band’s long-awaited first European tour finally arrived in Zagreb! A must-see for fans of old-school black metal steeped in the spiritual and visual influence of Hinduism and Buddhism. Though their official journey began in 2010, the concept took root even earlier. They made a powerful impression in 2013 with their sophomore album “முட்டு का तापसी अनुध्यान” which firmly established their place in the scene. Between then and 2020, they released a string of EPs and live recordings, culminating in the dual release of their full-length albums Moksha and Nirvana. Cult of Fire originates from Czechia and deals with themes such as darkness, esotericism (early); Hinduism, Vedic rituals, Buddhism and others. Now, with a brand-new album from March 2025 the band truly presented a new vision from the one we had a chance to see last year at Rockstadt Extreme Festival.
The opening acts were given by THE GREAT OLD ONES and CARONTE, which both had very good performances.
Cult of Fire presented their unique sound, visual performance, atmosphere and scents surrounding the gig which were amazing. You don’t define art; you can’t describe it. The concert was phenomenal and a unique experience!

Completely change the narrative
Two of the band members gave me flowers after the gig and it made me think of how easy it is to completely Change the narrative of your life. I carried the flowers back to my home and walked the same path I walked as I was carrying my stuff back home from another break up. It almost made me cry to think how easy it is and how such a small kind of kindness can make you decide to think of yourself as a winner, not a loser. Life evolves in circles, all is ephemeral, everything is an art of letting go. Just like the flowers I got that were already starting to die off a little due to lack of water and excess of smoke. So what can I do against such power of life and death? Not much, except to accept my “overwhelmed days” and proclaim it as “self-care days”. Not all days are productive ones. This concert reminded us all why we are alive and still fighting against all life obstacles.
