German symphonic metal icons Xandria are finally coming to Croatia! Their debut concert will take place on October 1st at Boogaloo, where they will promote their new album, “Eclipse,” set for release in early August. Naturally, the setlist will also feature the biggest hits from their rich career spanning over three decades. Joining them on this European tour are two American bands: Seven Spires and Tulip. A limited batch of early-bird tickets priced at €29 was made available via the Hangtime website but has already sold out!
Presale tickets are €33, while tickets on the day of the concert will cost €36 (subject to availability). Physical tickets are available at the Dirty Old Shop.
German symphonic metal band Xandria has held a firm place among the genre’s most important names since 1994; through numerous changes and evolutions, they have crafted a distinctive and lavish sound. After a period of silence, the band returns in a stronger, more modern incarnation, led by charismatic vocalist Ambre Vourvahis, whose voice effortlessly shifts from delicate operatic passages to raw metal energy. This new lineup has brought freshness and an added dimension to their sound, making it more dynamic and contemporary than ever before. The album “The Wonders Still Awaiting” marked the band’s major comeback and set new standards within the symphonic metal scene, achieving notable chart success across Europe. Building upon the legacy of cult releases like “Ravenheart” (hands up if you used to watch VIVA and MTV back in the day), “Valentine,” and “Nightfall,” Xandria today successfully blends classical orchestration with modern production.
Two years ago, the band further affirmed its creative prowess with the “Universal Tales” EP, expanding its sonic spectrum across four new tracks—ranging from epic anthems to more intimate, emotional moments, just as one would expect. Thematically, Xandria is unafraid to tackle socially conscious narratives, exploring themes of freedom, struggle, and human potential. Their sound is defined by cinematic arrangements, rich orchestration, and a distinct atmosphere that transforms concerts into near-theatrical experiences; indeed, this blend of theatricality and power is a key reason the band enjoys a loyal global following. Today, they are synonymous with modern symphonic metal that honors its roots while boldly looking to the future—something the Zagreb audience has witnessed firsthand in recent months through performances by numerous stars of the genre.

The American symphonic metal band Seven Spires is one of the most intriguing new names on the modern metal scene, known for blending symphonic, power, black, and melodic death metal. The band was founded in Boston in 2013 by guitarist Jack Kosto and charismatic vocalist Adrienne Cowan, whose impressive vocal range quickly caught the attention of metalheads around the world. After the notable debut “Solveig”, Seven Spires further solidified their status with the albums “Emerald Seas”, “Gods of Debauchery” and the latest “A Fortress Called Home”, which was released in 2024. Their music combines technical virtuosity, cinematic atmosphere and extremely emotional storytelling, which is why many consider them one of the most ambitious bands of the new generation of symphonic metal. During the last years they have shared stages with names like DragonForce, Eluveitie and Kamelot (in 16 months they will all be in Zagreb!) and built a reputation as an extremely powerful live band. Adrienne Cowan stands out, who, in addition to her work in Seven Spires, is also known for her collaborations with the bands Avantasia and Sascha Paeth’s Masters of Ceremony.

The American three-member metal band Tulip comes from Texas and in recent years has attracted attention with a modern combination of symphonic metal, groove riffs and cinematic atmosphere. The band is led by the powerful vocalist Ashleigh Semkiw, a former opera singer whose voice brings both elegance and aggression, while the backbone of the sound is formed by guitarist Colin Parrish and drummer Brandon White. Tulip has particularly distinguished themselves with the albums *High Strangeness* and *The Perpetual Dream*, through which they develop a conceptual approach inspired by paranormal phenomena, introspection, and dark narratives. Their sound is often compared to bands like Epica, Spiritbox, and Amaranthe, yet it retains a distinct identity and modern production. Thanks to intense live performances and a striking visual aesthetic, Tulip has emerged as one of the most compelling new acts on the American symphonic metal scene. Come see for yourself on October 1st at Boogaloo!
