48TH SCIENCE FICTION DAYS IN ZAGREB – SFERAKON 2026
A BREATH OF MAGIC FROM THE WORLD OF HARRY POTTER – two actors from the films for the first time in Croatia
ZAGREB, December 30, 2025 – SFeraKon, the oldest science fiction convention in this part of Europe, will be held this year from May 8 to 10, 2026 in Zagreb at the location Ulica Radoslava Cimermana 88 (SEECEL on the western side of the Fairgrounds) with numerous interesting events and distinguished guests!
The next SFeraKon, an internationally recognized convention with a long tradition organized by SFera, the science fiction society from Zagreb, will once again welcome numerous science fiction and related genres enthusiasts with a rich program this year. For the first time, actors from the cult films about the young wizard who have marked an entire generation and have been delighting viewers around the world for 25 years are coming to Croatia. Visitors will have the opportunity to see and meet people involved in this phenomenon and hear first-hand stories about how it came to be. Josh Herdman immortalized the character of Gregory Goyle, a Slytherin who, alongside Malfoy and Crabbe, antagonized Harry and his friends. After an early acting career, Josh turned to martial arts, jiu-jitsu and MMA. And in the last few years, he has been slowly returning to the screen. We all remember the character of Viktor Krum, who enchanted Hermione at the Triwizard Tournament in the fourth Harry Potter film, and many viewers too. He was played by Stanislav Yanevski, a Bulgarian actor, who will share his story about how he accidentally ended up on the set with SFeraKon visitors. He has several more films behind him, and today he is a motivational speaker and lecturer.
More than three thousand visitors are expected at the convention this year, science fiction associations will be presented, and visitors will enjoy numerous lectures, game rooms, tournaments and demonstrations of board games, as well as a book fair, sales exhibition and of course cosplay.
