After three years, on Monday 02.10.2023. Polish metal attraction Batushka is returning to Zagreb’s Boogaloo! Five years ago, Batushka held their first concert in Croatia in a packed Boogaloo in Zagreb, which is still talked about today, and two years ago they returned and repeated their black metal liturgy. This will be their third visit to Croatia, and they are joined by Russian folk metal attraction Arkona, Canadian oriental symphonic death metallers Aethernam and viking/folk metallers Varang Nord from Latvia.
Batushka is a metal phenomenon that pushed the boundaries of performance and combined theater, black metal and liturgy. Their performances leave no one indifferent, because they are not just metal concerts but a true theatrical black liturgy. Having just returned from overseas tours in the USA, Mexico and Japan, Batushka are stronger than ever, ready to hold mass for their European pilgrims.
After five years, pagan metal institution Arkona finally returns with their ominous ninth studio album, Kob’, which will be released on June 16, 2023 via Napalm Records. Once again, the musicians delve into the deep, dark realms of singer Masha Scream’s philosophy and outlook on the future of modern human existence as they create their music in the light of pagan traditions. With eight albums under their belt and millions of streams across multiple platforms, the eight new tracks on Kob reveal another side of the band, forming the next chapter in their discography.
Canadian oriental symphonic death metallers Aethernam promoting their acclaimed latest album “Hier of the Rising Sun” and viking/folk metallers Varang Nord from Latvia will perform as guests at this metal spectacle.
Tickets can be purchased through the Entrio system, online and at Entrio sales points and in Zagreb’s Dirty Old Shop located in Tratinska Street no. 34 (tickets can also be ordered online). The first two hundred tickets will be on sale at a price of €26, then tickets will cost €30, and on the day of the concert, €34.
