After five years, the most famous metal pirates Alestorm are coming back to Zagreb, more precisely to Boogaloo! A big metal party is, of course, guaranteed! 15.11 should be circled in the calendars with a cheerful crayon. (Wednesday). A limited contingent of early bird tickets at a price of 29 euros are available through the Dirty Old Shop, and the presale price after that will be 33 euros.
19 years ago in the small Scottish town of Perth, a group of guys decided to form an epic metal band with songs about pirates. They named themselves Battleheart and had no real idea what they were doing, but managed to release a few demos and gain a local fan base. In 2007, the band’s work caught the attention of the world-famous Austrian record company Napalm Records, and after changing its name to Alestorm, the band signed a five-album deal. The debut album “Captain Morgan’s Revenge” released in 2008 immediately launched them high in the metalion sky. This enabled them to tour extensively with bands such as Turisas, Sabaton, Dragonforce, Eluveitie and others. The band quickly found themselves invited to the most prestigious festivals in Europe such as Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock Open Air, Graspop Metal Meeting and Sweden Rock Festival.
Alestorm has released seven albums so far, and the latest of them “Seventh Rum of a Seventh Rum”, with a clear association with Iron Maiden’s album “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son”, will be promoted on this occasion. In addition to numerous other hits to which everyone has to jump, dance, drink and sweat, but the Croatian audience already knows that very well.
