The German progressive metal band The Ocean is coming back to Zagreb, and this time they are coming to Vintage Industrial Bar on Sunday, November 29, 2026.

The band’s return to Zagreb is part of the European tour that accompanies the release of their new album “Solaris”. The new material and the 12th studio release will be released on September 25, and the first intro to the album, the single “Light Pollution”, was taken from it.

The Ocean – “Light Pollution”

Berlin’s The Ocean, also known as The Ocean Collective, are among the most influential and respected European progressive/sludge metal bands. The group gathered in 2000 around guitarist Robin Staps, and is extremely discographically active. They are praised as one of the most powerful live bands of recent heavy metal, which is why they have become regular guests at numerous festivals.

From their debut “Fluxion”, which the media described as a complex album that completely takes over you, through the double conceptual “Precambrian” or “Pelagial” which was included among the best metal albums of the year on numerous charts, this great line-up has been methodically building its musical legacy. The series of releases “Phanerozoic I” and “Phanerozoic II” are concept albums through which the band speaks about the changes of time and eras, and once again demonstrate eclecticism, progressiveness and dedication to detail. The previous album “Holocene” described a vision of a dystopian future, and the upcoming studio release “Solaris” represents changes within the band’s line-up and a new chapter.

The Ocean – “Pleistocene”

The Ocean have performed with names such as Opeth, Mastodon, Cult Of Luna, The Dillinger Escape Plan or Devin Townsend, released a split EP with the Japanese band Mono, and their Pelagic Records is one of the world’s leading post-rock and post-metal labels. Regularly praised as one of the most powerful live bands in recent metal, The Ocean will be joined by Belgian post-metal band Psychonaut and Hungarian band The Devil’s Trade.

Tickets are on sale at a starting price of 22 euros, and are available through the CoreEvent system.
