LOYAL TO THE GRAVE!
The concert held at Media Center Ljubljana on April 8, 2026, was an unforgettable night for metal fans. From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation and raw energy. Fans from across the region gathered to witness a lineup that already feels legendary. The venue quickly filled with a sea of black shirts, spikes, and excitement.
When NAILS took the stage, the night erupted into chaos in the best possible way. Their explosive songs hit like a hammer, setting the tone for the evening. The crowd responded with intense moshing and relentless movement. Their sheer aggression instantly ignited the audience and proved why they are one of the most uncompromising acts in extreme music.
Next up was EXODUS, who brought classic Bay Area thrash energy. Their performance was tight, aggressive, and full of iconic riffs. The audience sang along loudly, proving the band’s lasting influence. Every breakdown and solo was met with roaring approval, and their presence reinforced their legendary status.
Then came CARCASS, delivering a masterclass in death metal precision. Their sound was both brutal and technically impressive. The band’s chemistry was evident, and their performance felt effortless yet powerful. Fans were completely immersed in the sonic assault, captivated by the complexity and intensity of their music. Their setlist was simply masterful. They started with the perfection of a song: “Unfit for Human Consumption” and ended with pure beauty: “Heartwork” and I think absolutely all the fans were overjoyed because the beginning and the end, and of course the middle, couldn’t have been better!
As the night progressed, the anticipation for the headliner reached its peak. When KREATOR finally appeared, the crowd exploded with excitement. Their stage production was massive and visually stunning, as always. New tracks from “Krushers of the World” sounded fierce and powerful live. The band seamlessly blended new material with classic songs, creating a perfect balance of past and present.
The concert started masterfully after the gigantic stage curtain was lowered explosively with “Seven Serpents”. Total chaos in the audience was ensued from the first seconds of “Hail to the Hordes”! Some of the other highlights were performances of “Enemy of God” “Hate Über Alles”, “666 – World Divided” and “Violent Revolution”. The absolute climax of the concert was the performance of “Satan Is Real”, after which there was an explosion of enthusiasm in the audience! Their new song “Loyal to the Grave” has been received extremely well by the audience and already has 1 million views on YouTube even though it was only recently released!
Frontman Mille Petrozza ruled the stage with charisma and intensity. His connection with the audience was undeniable. Every note felt purposeful and electrifying. The crowd responded with endless energy, creating a powerful feedback loop between band and fans. The sound quality throughout the night was exceptional. Lighting effects, smoke and fire bursts amplified the dramatic atmosphere of the performance to the maximum, as always! Overall, the gig was great and the extremely cheerful and enthusiastic audience contributed to a great evening!
There was a sense that everyone present was witnessing something historic. The camaraderie among fans added to the overall experience. By the end of the night, exhaustion mixed with pure satisfaction. This concert will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most brutal and exhilarating metal events of 2026.
