THE OFFSPRING
Velesajam – Zagreb
Plato in front of Pavilion 15 / Open air concert
Sunday, June 14, 2026
The Offspring, Californian punk rock legends and one of the biggest bands in the genre in general, are coming to Zagreb on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
After selling out the Šalatu stadium in 2 hours, 7 months before the concert, The Offspring’s spectacle is moving to Velesajam.
The return to Zagreb takes place 17 years after their last concert at the Tvornica kulture in September 2009. With a 40-year career behind them, almost 45 million albums sold and seven and a half billion streams on Spotify alone, The Offspring are one of the leading names in alternative rock music in the last few decades.
The band that started in 1984 in California has become one of the biggest punk rock stories. They brought new life to Southern California skate punk, as well as genres such as melodic pop punk and hardcore, and their music touches on topics such as rebellion, social issues and social commentary, which they also talk about through recognizable humor and satire.
They are among the musical giants who, along with names such as Green Day, NOFX or Bad Religion, revitalized mainstream punk rock from the 90s onwards. With 11 albums, they became a band that marked punk rock and alternative genres, influenced many bands, and defined the sound of the 90s. They also became an indispensable part of pop culture, and their music can be heard in numerous films and series such as “Batman Forever”, “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, “American Pie”, “Beverly Hills 90210”, as well as video games.
After they began to achieve success locally with their self-titled debut in 1989, a few releases after 1994, the album “Smash” arrived, which ensured them enormous commercial success. The album, which featured singles such as “Come Out and Play” and “Self Esteem”, launched punk rock into the mainstream, and became one of the best-selling independent albums of all time. The band’s fifth album, Americana, released in 1998, featured the hit singles “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)”, “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright”, which won radio airplay and became regulars on stations such as MTV. The critically acclaimed follow-ups Conspiracy of One (2000) and Splinter (2003) were both certified platinum and gold, while Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace (2008) featured the Billboard Hot 100 single “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid”. Between the albums “Days Go By” and Let the Bad Times Roll, the band has toured extensively, and their latest album “Supercharged” once again praises The Offspring and the punk energy they bring.
A new batch of tickets for the Velesajam will go on sale on Monday, November 17th at 10:00 AM at CoreEvent, while hard copy physical tickets will be available at Dirty Old Shop, Rockmark and Dallas in Rijeka.
