EXPIRIUM, a death metal band from Koprivnica, Croatia, just released their first album “Abomination of Flesh”. The band was formed in 2023 and after years of rehearsals and detailed preparation they released an album containing eight thoroughbred songs which exude abomination, pure rage, internal struggle and agony of the fight for survival. Their sound is characterized by a combination of modern and traditional and, up to now, they released three singles and have about 10 concerts behind them, out of which they were mostly noticed with their performances on Dark Circle Fest (Palach, Rijeka) and the first Zagreb Death Fest (Močvara, Zagreb).

The band has created a recognizable and powerful sound and atmosphere with heavy riffs mercilessly whipping from all sides, with carefully designed transitions that avoid monotony, while everything is intertwined with youthful energy and rage. Expirium very subtly combines different influences and inputs, intertwining death, groove and thrash metal moments. The topics they deal with are extremely suitable for a death metal band and include a preoccupation with topics such as inner struggle, rage and similar. Their songs explore the darker sides of human experience, engaging with controversial themes of violence, personal collapse, and the aftermath of the individual’s acceptance of their actions.

Definitely an album worth listening to:
