After more than 12 years, Swiss folk metal giants Eluveitie are returning to the Zagreb audience with a new spectacular performance that will take place on December 16, 2025 at the Boogaloo club! This unique band, whose name comes from the Etruscan language, has been delighting fans around the world with its original fusion of melodic death metal and traditional Celtic music for more than two decades.
Early bird tickets are sold out. The pre-sale price will be 36 euros, and if there are any left, the price on the day of the concert will be 39 euros. Hard copy tickets will soon be available at the Dirty Old Shop.
Eluveitie was founded in 2002 in Winterthur under the leadership of Chrigel Glanzmann, a charismatic frontman and multi-instrumentalist. Already with their debut album Spirit (2006), the band drew the attention of the metal community to their rich sound in which electric guitars, bagpipes, viola, flute and mandolin coexist in perfect balance. Their lyrics, often written in Gaelic, explore ancient Celtic myths and history.
The real breakthrough came two years later with the album Slania, after which they signed for Nuclear Blast and positioned themselves as a leading force in the folk metal genre. The 2012 album Helvetios achieved commercial success across Europe and further solidified their status.
Major changes in the line-up took place in 2016, after which the talented vocalist and harpist Fabienne Erni soon joined them, and Michalina Malisz took over hurdy-gurdy. Their contribution to the new phase of the band is clearly heard on the albums Evocation II: Pantheon (2017) and Ategnatos (2019), in which Eluveitie reaches its most mature and dynamic form.
So far, they have performed at all major world metal festivals – from Wacken Open Air to Hellfest and Metal Days – and their concerts regularly fill clubs and halls. Croatian audiences already know them well because they have performed at Moฤvara and Tvornica kulture.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of this spectacle of an eight-piece band that creates a unique wall of sound live โ€“ a fusion of the power of metal and ancient Celtic soul. See you on December 16th at Boogaloo!
