COMBICHRIST, NORWEGIAN/AMERICAN AGGROTECH ELECTRO INDUSTRIAL METAL ATTRACTION, COMING ON FRIDAY 05/09/2025. TO ZAGREB CLUB BOOGALOO AS PART OF THE “STILL MAKING MONSTERS” TOUR AND THEY BRING THREE MORE ATTRACTIVE BANDS – EXTIZE, CRIMSON VEIL AND ESOTERIK. On Friday 09.05.2025. Combichrist, a Norwegian-American aggrotech electro industrial metal attraction, is coming to the Boogaloo club in Zagreb, who will visit us as part of their “Still Making Moinsters 2025” tour. They bring with them three more new and upcoming artists – French/German gothic electro industrial attraction Extize, British alter metallers Crimson Veil and American pagan synth darkwave group Esoterik. The founder and vocalist of Combichrist, Andy LaPlegua, began his career in the cult Norwegian hardcore bands My Right Choice and Lash Out, and later in the electro band Icon of Coil. In 2003, LaPlegua combined his previous experience and the sound of hardcore and electronica and founded Combichrist. The same year, they released their first album “The Joy Of Guns”, but they achieved more notable success only with the single “Like To Thank My Buddies” which is on the second album “Everybody Hates You” and with which LaPlegua creates a new name for his music “Techno Body Music” or TBM as his answer to the previous “Electro Body Music” i.e. EBM, and at the same time they released the song “This is TMB”. In 2006, with their first big hit single “Get Your Body Beat” they appeared on the Billboard “Top 10 Dance Singles” chart. The song also appears in the movie “The Gene Generation”, so the scenes from the movie are in the video, and the song was released on the third Combichrist album “What the Fuck Is Wrong with You People?” with which they reached the top of the world music scene. In 2009, the album “Today We Are All Demons” followed, and as part of the tour they came to Zagreb for the first time, where they played a concert to remember in the Aquarius club, something that had not been seen in this area until then, a combination of energetic ebm and punk energy! In 2010, they released the album “Making Monsters”, after which they received an invitation for a tour with the industrial metal giants Rammstein, with whom they also performed in the Zagreb Arena and, in the opinion of some, even slightly overshadowed Rammstein with their minimalist energetic performance consisting of strong rhythms and aggressive vocal parts. And here they are again, in 2011. Combichrist performs in the Zagreb club Boogaloo with the groups Mortiis and Substaat. In 2014, Combichrist released their seventh album “We Love You” and as part of the tour, they came to Zagreb again, where they held a concert at the Tvornica Kulture. In 2016, with their eighth album “This Is Where Death Begins”, they moved away from their electro roots and entered metal waters. The ninth album “One Fire” was released in 2019 which they promoted the same year in Zagreb’s Močvara and where they will come again in 2022. In 2024, Combichrist released their tenth album “CMBCRST“, with which they continue to push the boundaries of genres, returning to electro waters, this time in combination with industrial metal and a post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and journalists compared the album to groups such as Ministry, Rob Zombie and Marylin Manson. “CMBCRST“ received excellent reviews from both the media and fans, and the Croatian audience will have the opportunity to check out how it sounds live at the Boogaloo club on 09.05.2005! Believe it or not, this will be their seventh performance in Zagreb since 2009! Along with songs from their new album, Combichrist promise their fans a set list with all their previous hits, including the ultimate hit “Get Your Body Beat”! On this tour, Combichrist are bringing with them, for the first time in Croatia, three very interesting new bands from the alter scene – the German-French gothic electro industrial attraction Extize, the British alter metallers Crimson Veil and the American pagan synth wave band Esoterik. So this concert can be freely called a small festival and a real treat for fans of the electro, industrial, goth, dark, metal scene! After the concert, the famous Zagreb DJ Tomi Phantasma will continue the fun, playing special music. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the first band, Esoterik, will start their performance at 8:30 PM. Early bird tickets are €25 until 9/3. or until the contingent is sold out, after that the regular ticket price will be €30, and on the day of the concert, if any remain, they will be sold at a price of €35. Tickets can be purchased online via the Entrio system and at Entrio sales points, and from 10.03. hard tickets (so-called “tickets with a sticker”) will also be available for purchase at the Dirty Old Shop, Tratinska 34 and at the Hard Place club, Hrvatske bratske zajednice 4 in Zagreb.
